The new infections were detected, after 197,168 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also announced 656 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the recovery count to 984,798. No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 2,339.
