Home Industry Media Motivate Media Group to support UAE SMEs with $1m initiative Motivate Media Group’s $1m campaign to support SMEs in the UAE has received approval from the Dubai government by Varun Godinho July 12, 2020 Motivate Media Group’s $1m initiative to support SMEs in the UAE as they navigate the Covid-19 pandemic has received approval from the Dubai government’s Department of Economic Development (DED). There will be 20 homegrown UAE SMEs who will receive upto $50,000 free advertising space each across the media platforms of Motivate’s titles including Gulf Business, What’s On, Emirates Woman and Identity. The recent DED approval now allows SMEs to nominate themselves for consideration to receive the support from Motivate. Motivate will appoint an expert panel who will evaluate the applications and select a shortlist not just on the basis of businesses who have a plan to survive the pandemic, but on their proposal to continue to grow and contribute to the UAE even post the pandemic. In addition to the advertising support, these SMEs will also receive support in conceptualising digital marketing and promotional plans, helping them to target relevant audiences, and ensure that their campaigns meet their expected targets. This is an incredibly hard time for all businesses, especially SMEs, and we have one of the largest media portfolios to help businesses across the UAE,” said Ian Fairservice, Managing Partner of Motivate Media Group. Last week, as part of the $1m initiative, Motivate pledged $275,000 by way of in-kind services to support tech startups and SMEs in partnership with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa).
