UAE-based telecom operator du has appointed Fahad Al Hassawi as its acting CEO, following the departure of Johan Dennelind.
The board meeting held on September 17, also approved the appointment of Ahmad Julfar, as the managing director of the company, it said in a filing on Dubai Financial Market on September 20.
Julfar, a telecom veteran, also operated as a board member of the company, the statement read.
The telco reported a net income of Dhs355m for Q1 2020, down 21 per cent compared to Dhs449m in the corresponding period last year.

It plans to gain Dhs800m from selling 26 per cent stake in Khazna Data Centre to Abu Dhabi’s Technology Holding Company.
