Two minor earthquakes were recorded in Dibba Al Fujairah on Monday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has confirmed.
The report by NCM’s National Seismic Network, confirmed that a 3.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded in Dibba Al Fujairah on May 24, 2021, at 4.54am. The quake occurred at a depth of 5 km.
Meanwhile, a second quake measuring 2.3 on the Richer scale was felt in the same region at 7.24am, the centre reported.
Temperatures are expected to soar to 49°C across the country’s internal areas today, with light to moderate winds and dust storm anticipated as well, NCM confirmed.
