UAE weather update: Poor visibility warning issued

The UAE has urged motorists to be careful on the roads on Thursday due to increased fog formation in parts of the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued an alert on Thursday morning, with fog reported over most of Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi city and adjacent areas.

Abu Dhabi police also warned motorists to be cautious while driving due to reduced visibility.

Overall, the weather will remain partly cloudy on Thursday, with temperatures expected to increase slightly and gradually.

Temperatures will vary between 13 – 23 degrees celsius in the coastal areas, between 11 – 25 degrees in the internal areas and 4 -15 degrees in the mountains.

The relative humidity will increase during the night and on Friday morning, with fog and mist formation over some internal and coastal areas, according to NCM’s forecast.

During the weekend, the weather will remain partly cloudy, while the relative humidity will increase on Friday night and Saturday morning over some northern coastal areas.
