Located in the country’s capital, Les Zeniths Arjaan by Rotana in Dakar is a 150-key property and will be launched under the Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana brand. It is expected to open in 2026 and will include studios, as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residents will have access to the Bodylines Fitness and Wellness Club featuring a gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam and massage rooms. The property also includes four meeting rooms with flexible seating plans and audio-visual technology. Dining options at Les Zeniths Arjaan by Rotana will include an all-day café and 24-hour room service too. “The launch of our first property in Senegal marks a significant milestone for Rotana, and we are excited to be working with HM Group of developers to mark our expansion into West Africa. Senegal is a rapidly growing market and leading tourism development on the African continent,” said Makram El Zyr, corporate vice president of Development at Rotana. Ali Bilal, managing director of HM Development, added, “In addition to the hotel apartments, Les Zeniths is a mixed-use green development comprising of residential, office and commercial spaces. Articulated around a shopping mall, it provides great convenience and caters to the diverse needs of those visiting the city for long- or short-stays.” The hotel management company currently operates 72 hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Türkiye, serving more than six million guests per year. Rotana’s global growth outlook Rotana has recently announced major expansion plans across several key markets. In the UK, it announced plans to open its first properties there with the development of up to 1,500 keys under the Centro brand in greater London. The first two hotels are confirmed for New Malden and Kingston, with the 70-apartment Centro New Malden set to open this year across from the town’s rail station, followed by the 31-apartment new-build Centro Kingston on the north edge of Coombe Road in 2024. The company also signed agreements with Memar Development and Investment for five new properties in Saudi Arabia. These include four under its Edge by Rotana brand which was launched last year and one Rayhaan by Rotana property, all of which will be located in Riyadh. The five new properties will add 618 keys to Rotana’s portfolio. Rotana aims to triple the number of rooms it currently operates in the kingdom to 6,000 over the next four years. Over in Georgia, it signed an agreement with Pontus Development to open a new 600-key property in the country. Pontus Rotana Resort and Spa Gonio will be located in a beach suburb of Batumi, and is scheduled to open in 2026.
