Up to 50% discount on traffic fines in Abu Dhabi
Those who do not avail of this discount offer will have to pay the full amount of the fines once the scheme ends

The Abu Dhabi Police on Thursday said that traffic fines of up to 50 per cent will be offered to motorists in the emirate, local media reported.
There will be a 50 per cent discount on fines which will be available until June 22.
The police department is also offering a 35 per cent discount on fines if motorists make the payment within 60 days of committing the violation.
Those who make the payment 60 days after committing the violation, and until the end of the year, will get a 25 per cent discount on their fines.
The police added that those who do not avail of this discount offer will have to pay the full amount of the fines once the scheme ends.
In related news, in March, officials in the UAE said that driving licences will be renewed online notwithstanding fines, black points or pending eye tests.

The renewal will be valid for one year from the date of issuance.
A similar injunction was also issued in March whereby motorists were allowed to renew their vehicles’ registration cards without having to visit a service delivery centre.
