Home Industry Technology Varjo partners with Lenovo to expand business in the UAE Varjo headsets will be demonstrated at the Expo 2020 and GITEX Global by Divsha Bhat September 29, 2021 Varjo has partnered with Lenovo, its first reseller in the UAE, to sell its VR-3 and XR-3 virtual reality and mixed reality devices in the country. By offering a single point of purchase for workstations and VR/XR headsets, both the companies aim to change the way professionals work across industries. These industries include aviation and space training and simulation, research, oil and gas, medical, and remote collaboration. Varjo headsets feature resolution and technology needed to develop photorealistic, true-to-life VR/AR/XR experiences. “Current global circumstances have accelerated the need for high-fidelity immersive tools. Together with our local resellers, Varjo can now support advanced virtual, augmented and mixed reality use cases in UAE,” said Seppo Aaltonen, chief commercial officer of Varjo. Featuring human-eye resolution at over 60 ppd, a 115° field of view, integrated eye and Ultraleap (formerly Leap Motion) hand tracking, XR-3 inside-out tracking and pixel-perfect mixed reality depth awareness, professional users can perform at their highest level in a fully immersive environment. Varjo headsets will be demonstrated at the Finland Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai on October 31, as well as at the GITEX conference on October 17-21 at Lenovo’s booth A250 in Hall 6. Recently, Dubai carrier Emirates launched a virtual reality app in the Oculus store, enabling customers to explore its products via interactive experiences.
