Home Brand View Video: HP’s lightest business laptop launches in the UAE HP’s new Elite Dragonfly is aimed at making life easier for regional business travellers by Gulf Business October 31, 2019 HP’s new Elite Dragonfly, its lightest convertible business laptop, has launched in the UAE and seeks to cater to the growing number of professionals working ‘on the go’ in the region. Looking slick and weighing less than 1kg, the premium “lighter than air” PC offers up to 24.5-hour battery life – certain to last the duration of the current longest flight (a 20-hour flight is currently being tested). Although lightweight, the device – made of magnesium – is durable, asserts HP. Featuring a curved display, the 13-inch business convertible (which can bend 360 degrees), comes with wifi-6 connectivity and an optional gigabit-class 4G LTE that will allow users to connect from almost anywhere using 4×4 antennas. The device is powered by an 8th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processor that, according to Intel, “provides the uncompromising capability that is best for business and matches the ambition of mobile professionals”. Other features include a ‘private screen’ thanks to the HP Sure View, three-way authentication with fingerprint and facial recognition, and a shuttered camera to protect privacy. The device also comes with an ‘ultra-quiet keyboard’ with backlight, audio by Bang & Olufsen, HP noise cancellation, four speakers, and four amps. The Elite Dragonfly will be available with HP’s partners in the Middle East from November-end with prices starting at Dhs5,499 including VAT. HP also claims the Elite Dragonfly is the “HP’s first” business convertible with preinstalled personal wellbeing software – HP WorkWell. The software, aimed at helping users find a “healthy work and life balance”, provides individual productivity tips. HP is also offering premium accessories such as the Elite 13.3 leather sleeve and a Bluetooth travel mouse. “A PC should provide freedom, adapt, and transform how and where today’s business professionals work,” said George Rouppas, head of Personal Systems Category at HP Middle East, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. “HP innovation is moving businesses beyond the status quo with incredibly light, powerful, and highly secure PC designs and a connected ecosystem for next generation workplaces. HP is reimagining how technology empowers today’s workforce.” For more information, visit HP’s website here 0 Comments
