Home Awards Videos: Winners of the Gulf Business Awards 2018 on their plans ahead A total of 21 trophies were awarded to companies and business leaders by Gulf Business September 12, 2018 The Gulf Business Awards successfully held its seventh edition at The Oberoi Dubai on Monday evening with over 300 guests in attendance at the annual gala. A total of 21 trophies were awarded to companies and business leaders celebrate business excellence in the region. The awards sought to applaud success across seven industries including aviation and transport, banking, energy, real estate, retail, tourism and hospitality and healthcare. For her enormous achievements and ceaseless contributions to the growth of the UAE, the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award for 2018 was given to HE Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi – the UAE’s first female cabinet minister and president of Zayed University. The coveted Gulf Business Company of the year award was won by Dubai Duty Free, while the recipient of the Business leader of the year award was the CEO of Emirates Foundation, HE Maytha Al Habsi – who also won the Businesswoman of the year award. Some of the other award winners from the night including Rotana Hotels & Resorts, King’s College Hospital London in the UAE, and Louvre Abu Dhabi disclosed their plans for the year ahead. The SME of the year award for 2018 was bagged by UAE-based Pure Harvest Smart Farms, which has a big vision for the year ahead.
