Home Industry Tourism Waldorf Astoria Opens First Hotel In UAE Hilton’s ultra-luxurious brand has opened a 346-room hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. by Aarti Nagraj August 1, 2013 Hilton’s luxury brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, the brand’s first hotel in the UAE. The 346-room hotel, designed to resemble an Arabian palace, includes an 18-hole championship golf course, a 350-metre private beach, two temperature controlled outdoor pools, four meeting rooms, a boardroom and a business centre. Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah will also offer RAK’s largest spa, spread across 1650 sq meters with 12 bespoke treatment rooms and a VIP room. In terms of F&B, it features four signature restaurants including US steakhouse, The Lexington Grill, Japanese dining Umi and Emirati-inspired cuisine at Marjan. The hotel also offers six entertainment and dining venues including Camelia, a traditional tea lounge, a nightclub, Waldorf’s cigar bar and outdoor dining at Azure and Al Fayrouz. It will also include two of Waldorf Astoria’s brand signatures – a grand lobby clock and Peacock Alley, a public area located across the ground floor and mezzanine levels. Ras Al Khaimah has been on aggressive tourism push in the last few years, welcoming over one million visitors in 2012. The emirate is rapidly ramping up its hotel inventory as it plans to increase visitor numbers to 1.2 million this year. 0 Comments
