Facebook – which owns all the three platforms – later apologised for the outage. “Some people may have experienced trouble connecting to the family of apps. The issue has since been resolved, we’re sorry for any inconvenience,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement to The Verge. According to downdetector.com, issues began at around 6.30am eastern time (around 2.30pm UAE time).
