The low-cost-carrier will begin flights to Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan, Yerevan in Armenia, and Krasnodar in Russia from next month. Flights to Krasnodar will operate twice a week, commencing from February 7, 2022. The new routes will be serviced by the airline’s four brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft. The fleet will expand to eight this year, adding links to destinations including Vienna and Bari, among others, as the venture hires another 200 people locally, chief executive officer Jozsef Varadi said in an interview. It currently employs around 200 people in Abu Dhabi. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s load factor is also improving.
