Home Industry Hospitality Wyndham to manage three hotels in Dubai’s Deira The properties will target three different market segments by Ben Welham December 10, 2018 US hospitality chain Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has said it will manage three new hotels at the upcoming Deira Waterfront Development in Dubai. The project, known as the Deira Enrichment Project, is being undertaken by government developed Ithra Dubai along the Dubai creek. It includes communal facilities, public amenities and open spaces, along with an expansion to the city’s historic Gold Souq. Read: Dubai’s Ithra unveils Deira Gold Souq expansion “We are very excited to welcome Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as a partner of our flagship development in Deira,” said Ithra Dubai director and CEO Issam Galadari. The Wyndham-branded hotels will target three different market segments. The upscale Wyndham Deira Waterfront will have 282 rooms and suites with meeting rooms, fitness, leisure activities and a rooftop pool. Days Hotel Deira Waterfront is the mid-range option with 131 rooms and suites, including all day dining and meeting facilities. While Super 8 Deira Waterfont will offer 90 economy rooms as well as a restaurant and café. “The addition of three of our most iconic global brands to this important area demonstrates Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to Dubai and the Middle East region as a whole,” said Ignace Bauwens, regional vice president for Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. No opening date was announced for the properties. Indian hotel brand Taj has also announced a deal with Ithra for a hotel at the Deira Waterfront project in September.
