Home UAE Dubai Wyndham To Launch First Hawthorn Suites in Region Extended stay brand will target executives on long-stay business and Gulf families. by Dominic Ellis October 2, 2013 Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai is to open in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence district at the end of October, marking the extended stay brand’s debut in the Middle East. The 188-room property will be owned by R Hotels, the holdings and hotel management subsidiary of Ajman-based R Holding. Guests can choose from studio apartments, one and two-bedroom suites and a penthouse with panoramic views of both the sea and Dubai Marina. They can also opt to cook in the apartments or visit the all-day dining restaurant with inside and outside seating. A coffee shop and 24-hour room service are also available. “We are seeing increased demand for hotel products which allow guests to maintain their routines with a home away from home,” said Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham caters perfectly to this audience, while also providing the additional space and flexibility required by many families travelling to Dubai from across the Gulf.” Guests can also access wireless internet, an outdoor pool, separate male and female spa areas, gym and meeting rooms and avail of free parking. Guests staying at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai can also accrue points with Wyndham Rewards and redeem them for hotel stays, flights, meals and gift cards. Hawthorn Suites’ arrival will complement other upcoming projects, such as the 497-room Wyndham Dubai Marina, which is due to open within the next three years, and another brand set for regional expansion is the select-service TRYP by Wyndham. A 672-room TRYP by Wyndham Dubai is due to open in the TECOM district late 2016. It will also raise long-stay competition with other operators at a micro level, such as the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Residences. 0 Comments
