Microsoft has announced that its latest gaming console, Xbox One will be launched in 26 additional markets including the UAE and Saudi Arabia this September.

In a statement, the company said that users around the world have been spending an average of over five hours per day on Xbox One since its launch in November last year.

“Last week since the launch of ‘Titanfall’, we saw the highest number of hours logged on Xbox Live since the launch of Xbox One,” it added.

No details were disclosed about pricing in the new markets.

Microsoft launched the $500 Xbox One across 13 markets last November, around the same time as rival Sony unveiled the PlayStation 4 console.

Xbox One includes an 8-core x86 processor and an HDMI pass-thru, which allows you to watch TV through your Xbox. It also comes with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive.

By the end of 2013, over three million units of the gaming device were sold, Microsoft said in January.

In a bid to increase sales, the company released combat game ‘Titanfall’ earlier this month, and announced that it would be distributed free as part of a bundle offer with the Xbox One.

Some of the other markets that will see the September launch of the console are Turkey, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, Argentina and South Africa.
